Asphalt Reflections

This painting was inspired by a photo I took on a rainy night at the Dundas  and Bronte Rd intersection. This painting is on display at the Sunrise Gallery until October 16/2011.

Winter Drive

This is the last painting I did for the show I have up at the Sunrise Gallery - and my favourite at the moment. (My favourite is often the last thing I painted.)
There was a great turn out for the opening yesterday - thanks to all who came I had a great time chatting with everyone.

Aldo's Cupcake

This is a painting of a Blackberry Cheesecake Cupcake that one of my husband's hockey buddies made. Thanks for the cupcakes Aldo! They were awesome.

I have been busy getting ready for a show at Sunrise Gallery. Here is a sneak peak at one of the pieces in the show. The opening is this Saturday, September 17th from 2-5 pm. The show will be up until October 16th.

Jenna's Cupcake

This was a commission for my five year old niece for her birthday. Lucky for me, she was pleased with it. (it has also sparked requests from my family for more cupcake paintings)

The Raging Olives

This photo is full of glares, but this is the painting I painted live at the Art in Action Silent Auction a few weeks back. The previous posting was my dry run to ensure I would be able to finish the piece in time to be auctioned off. I am happy to say that I was done in time and the painting sold. The piece was named by fellow artist Dave Lawson after the restaurant that hosted the event.

This is a study I worked on last night of my friend's daughter Jordan. I had about an hour on it and I am happy with where it was heading. Hopefully she will sit for me again sometime.

Generations

This is a large canvas that I did in the studio working from 2 small plein air paintings I did last fall. It is the first time I have worked this way and it was a lot of fun.

International Women Celebrate

I will be participating in the upcoming International Women Celebrate Show at AyrSpace, in Ayr Ontario. The show opens March 8, 2011.
