Coffee Break

This is a portrait of Al and his coffee. I had a challenging perspective for this portrait and struggled to get the proportions just right.

  1. Yes, that would be challenging. You did a great job! I really like the colour palette and energetic knife work. So glad you posted this morning - was just thinking about you and missing you on-line :) Have a good day!

  2. I love these palette knife paintings! I think you did a phenomenal job on the proportions too. Now who is Al? He has great hair color!

  3. Wow, another amazing portrait. Again, one must enlarge the picture to see all the great things going on with the paint. I really like what you did to delineate the edge of the chair...what did you do? I think you pretty much captured this guy.

  4. Thanks Kim!
Autumn - Al is one of the artists in my portrait group that I attend. He often models as well.
Catherine - Aw that dreaded chair - I got so frustrated with it that I just attacked it quickly and is confidently as I could muster.
