Iris #3 (violet underpainting)

Number three - this time with a violet underpainting. I noticed that I am getting looser with each painting as I get more comfortable/confident depicting the same still life set up.

  1. Ahhh...I like this one too. A wonderful monochromatic scheme. And I really like this looseness yet the form is all there. Still up for painting Friday?

  3. Really liking your lastest series. They are just lusciously rich. Makes me want to swipe my finger through them, like you swipe your finger through the icing on a cake. Looking forward to the next posting.
